About the event
CAPRICES' was made in the immediate aftermath of the Covid lockdowns, 2020-21, and under the saving aesthetic influences of Herzog's "Heart of Glass," Kurosawa's "Dreams," and the 19th century Symbolist painters. Personally, 'Caprices' was a search for intensity in quiet (a la Herzog's film), for novelty by way of anthology (a la Kurosawa's), for some concentrated or partial world, wherein, the next thing to happen would never be pregiven. Revisiting them, I'm pleased to find they still feel open-ended
